Pollster and political analyst John Zogby will examine attitudes of young Americans and offer ideas about harnessing their talents for global engagement at a discussion forum sponsored by PDAA and American Foreign Service Association (AFSA). The forum takes place on Tuesday, March 4, at AFSA headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Zogby is the author, with Joan Snyder Kuhl, of a new book, First Globals: Understanding, Managing, and Unleashing Our Millennial Generation. The book offers a detailed analysis of why Americans born between 1979 and 1994 are truly more globally aware and sensitive, how they want to make their workplace and planet a better place, and how we begin to understand them and position them better to play out their destiny. Zogby will discuss the book and related issues affecting U.S. public diplomacy. The book may be purchased at the event and Zogby will sign copies for buyers.
Zogby’s polling company, Zogby Analytics, has polled U.S. presidential voting preferences since the 1990s, and provides research and analytical services for business, media, government and political groups including Coca-Cola, Microsoft, CISCO Systems, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and the US Census Bureau. Zogby is a frequent commentator on Huffington Post, and contributes to mainstream media outlets including Forbes, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times. He has served as an on-air election analyst for NBC News, BBC, CBC, ABC (Australia), and has been featured by the Foreign Press Center in Washington every election night since 1998.
