Senate Confirms Stengel as Public Diplomacy Undersecretary

11 February 2014. The U.S. Senate confirmed Richard Allan Stengel as Undersecretary of State for public diplomacy and public affairs. Stengel was managing editor of Time magazine and CEO of the National Constitution Center. According to the Washington Post, Stengel was senior adviser and chief speechwriter for former senator Bill Bradley’s 2000 presidential campaign.
